MHA #8, Saturday morning
Last night had been good. There had been dancing with two of his favorite people. Travis had asked him to visit Seattle. And then he'd brought one of those favorite people home with him for the night.
He'd expected to wake up with Travis. But when he woke up he was not holding on to Travis. He was not being held by Travis. He made a disgruntled little noise and opened his eye and didn't see Travis.
Well. He did. But his mind hadn't caught up yet that the small person on the other side of the bed was, in fact, Travis. At the moment his only thought was that he needed to get out of the bed without waking up the child who miraculously hadn't woken up yet even after the startled little yelp Stark had let out.
Whether tiny Travis would remain asleep after Stark half fell off the bed trying to remove himself from it quietly remained to be seen. The outlook seemed poor though.
[Expecting the one weetiny, obviously, but who is going to stop any others from knocking on a door, especially if there's breakfast being cooked at some point?]

He sat up, blinking a few times, and soon was bright eyed and chipper. “Is it breakfast?”
He loved breakfast!

"What would you like?"

That seemed better than staying in the bedroom with the tiny, tiny Travis.

What? Stark fell off the bed and it looked fun!
(He would be very disappointed to learn that there wasn’t any kimchi for the toast. He just assumed toast came with kimchi. If it didn’t it was Dad Toast. And Dad Toast was sad toast!)

"Be careful!" Stark wasn't really familiar with how resilient tiny children were.
"You can help, if you like. With the toast."

At least most of the other people living in the building were also tiny and loud today?
no subject
It was also one of like. Three Korean terms Travis used and would still end up falling out of habit by the time he grew up.

"What do you help with when you're at home?"
no subject

"And maybe feed the dog?"

Probie was going to be very concerned in a minute.

"Be gentle," Stark called out as he followed. For Probie's sake. She wouldn't hurt Travis even if she was confused.

She came trotting to greet Travis, sniffing and licking him and wondering why he was so short. Travis plopped right down on his butt, giggling maniacally, and wrapped his chubby arms around her neck.
no subject
"Good girl, Probie!"
no subject
Or maybe that was a feature, not a bug.
no subject
"How many pieces of toast would you like? And would you like butter? Jam? Both?"
Stark had a feeling Probie would be eating most of the toast.

Travis, keep that in mind for when you were your usual self again.
"I don't have any here. But I have lots of jam." And he had good butter too, because why not buy the stuff that tasted better?

"I don't. I'm sorry. I could go and get some from the store, I think?"
Stark really didn't want to disappoint tiny Travis.

“I guess we don’t need any. We’ll just have to have Dad Toasts.”
no subject
"What are Dad Toasts?"

"Not strawberry bread. I've never had that. I've had strawberry cake and muffins and brownies but not bread."
