Still somewhere in the Uncharteds

Yoti was finished with him, and Stark knew for certain now that his cooperation, such as it was, was not enough to earn him his freedom. Now he waited. He wasn't sure what he was waiting for, and it was certainly nothing good and most likely involved Scarrans if Yoti's earlier threats were anything to go by. Still, he had no choice but to wait.

"Would you like to see?" Yoti offered once, through the door of the cell. "It's almost finished. Perhaps my finest game yet. Perhaps."

Stark declined the offer. He didn't want to know what had been done with the contents of his head. Of course, being Stark, he changed his mind soon after. It was better knowing, wasn't it? Yoti came back to the cell repeatedly, but didn't offer again for a few solar days. This time Stark accepted. He regretted it almost immediately. He didn't like the feeling of being inside the game. It was too reminiscent of being trapped.

Left alone in the cell again, Stark sat, knees hugged to his chest, and wondered at what he'd seen of himself inside the game. It hadn't really been him, he was sure of that. Mostly. "Wasn't me. Was it? Don't know. Could have been. Don't want it to be. Maybe it was me. The wrong parts of me," he said to himself. "And when did my hair get so long?" He hadn't noticed the hair. He'd been too busy searching for Moya and then too concerned with the fact that he was once again locked in a cell somewhere. He didn't even know how long he'd been gone from Fandom now. It had been a long time if his hair was any indication.

Shaking his head and muttering something about being backwards, Stark reached for the plate of food cubes left near the door. He wasn't hungry, but he knew better than to refuse offered food. If you could call this food. "I miss cupcakes," he said to the cube in his hand. They were a foolish thing to be missing, considering all the other more important things he didn't have in this celll, but he was talking to his food so he probably didn't care about being foolish at this point.

"Is that what those delightful things in your bag when I found you were called?" Yoti asked from the other side of the door. He had a disturbing habit of hovering outside the cell in recent days. "The ship will be here shortly. You'd best eat those cubes now and forget about your little cakes. I'm sure there aren't any where you're going."

[I probably shouldn't enjoy torturing the poor alien so much. I still blame canon for it. Mostly. And I want a cupcake.]
