Room 203, Late Thursday
Stark's room hadn't been dirty or even cluttered. He didn't have enough things for that. He had cleaned it anyway and spent a good part of Thursday doing so. Cleaning gave him something to do, and it was always better to be busy. After that he had sat down at his desk with some construction paper and a black Sharpie and started making signs.
On the wall over his bed was a carefully lettered sign with the words "MY side" on it and on the opposite wall was "YOUR side."
Stark had always felt that boundaries were important when sharing a space with someone.
After putting up the first two signs he wondered, briefly, if that would be enough. Then he sat back down and made a few more signs and tucked them away in a desk drawer, just in case. After all, you never know when you might need to illustrate the difference between "MY desk" and "YOUR desk" or "MY closet" and "YOUR closet."
After a while, he had taken the first two signs down and put them in the drawer as well. The thought had crossed his mind that maybe that was not the most welcoming way he could welcome a new roommate. But he had the signs for later. Just in case.
Having finished cleaning and playing with signs, he'd wandered off to keep himself occupied until class signups the next morning.
((Hi
izziebelle! Not sure when you showed up IC, so if this doesn't fit with your timeline for that, just poke me and I'll change the timestamp.))
