Still on Moya, still somewhere in spaaaaaaaaaaaaaace

As Moya headed to Arnessk, the wedding was attempted for a second time.

"Why me?" Rygel had protested when he was volunteered to perform the marriage.

"You're a Dominar," Stark pointed out. "It has to count for something." After all, he was thinking to himself, they had been told that Rygel was Dominar (to 6 billion subjects, no less) enough times. Time for the Dominar to do something Dominar-ish.

Rygel continued grumbling until Aeryn pulled on a gun on him and declared he was ruining the wedding. After it was pointed out that Rygel still carried her child, she stopped. That still made Stark's brain hurt. That would probably always make Stark's brain hurt and Stark had seen and heard some extremely brainhurty things in his time.

Rygel finally began something like a marriage ceremony only to be interrupted by a harpoon crashing through Moya's bulkhead. The universe, it seemed, did not like weddings. Or at least it didn't like this wedding.

The harpoon came from a mercenary band of Tregans, operating under Peacekeeper authority. Which naturally meant that they had to depend on Scorpius to save them. Except he failed at it.

Which meant that the others had to save Moya in time-honored fashion. They shot up the invaders. Stark, meanwhile, stayed out of the way, having decided that was how he could best help. After spending so much time being captured and locked away in cells and Scarran boxes he had very little confidence in his ability to do much of anything useful. Not that he'd had an abundance of confidence before, but now it was almost pathetic. Actually, if you asked Stark (or Rygel) it was simply pathetic, no almost about it. He would have to do better. He would try to do better. Somehow. Later. Perhaps. If he could. Which he wasn't sure about.

They had made it to Arnessk at least. That was good, even if Stark himself had been completely useless during the journey. But they had lost one of the Eidolons and that was bad. Possibly this was somehow due to Stark being completely useless during the journey but he was trying to stop thinking that way. It never helped. And npw that they were at Arnessk and were heading to the temple perhaps he would have a chance to do something worthwhile.

[Well, it only took a month between bits this time. I'm getting slightly faster at least?]
